  • Face data is never stored or retained on our servers in any form.
  • If a user chooses to delete their account, all associated data, including profile images or videos, is permanently erased.

Oodle prioritizes user privacy and fully complies with Apple's guidelines by ensuring no facial recognition or biometric data is utilized or retained.

Date of Birth Requirement

We understand the preference to avoid requesting the full date of birth; however, after extensive testing, we have found that 90% of users provide their actual birth date when asked, whereas only 40% provide their correct age when directly asked.

Since Oodle is a social networking platform, understanding age groups is crucial to ensuring a safe and appropriate user experience. It allows us to properly match users within relevant age groups and safeguard younger users. This practice helps prevent inappropriate interactions and maintains a better environment for all users.

Additionally, we use the birth date to display a birthday cake icon next to a user's name on their birthday, similar to Snapchat. This feature enhances user engagement and is a small celebratory element of the app.
